See yourself directing, supervising, and coordinating the Live Production operations by applying sound husbandry practices to attain the area’s production objectives. Primary Functions

  •  Accountable for meeting the requirements of quality, productivity, standard costs, safety, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Total Quality Control (TQC)
  • Assist in directing the company safety and security programs to protect employee welfare and corporate assets while achieving corporate objectives
  • Assist with the management of flocks within your assigned farm departments in direct communication with your breeder department manager and within the guidelines set forth by the department production guide to achieve optimum breeder performance
  • Assist with the management and monitor the environmental conditions of the farm’s flocks, seeing that all details necessary for maximizing performance are carried out on a consistent basis

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively: assure that all employees are kept informed and involved in department activities and problem solving through a regular schedule of employee meetings and participation in Continual Improvement Process (CIP) problem solving teams
  • Timely follow through: assures the production products meets daily production schedules
  • Drives change: develop, recommend and implement improvements to increase productivity, improve quality, and/or reduce costs
  • Increase skill sets: assists in training and motivating subordinates in a manner that maximum potential can be achieved in meeting the requirements of assigned responsibilities
  • Inspire employees: provide leadership to the department ensuring all department goals and objectives are met
  • Time management: organize and utilize time effectively to allow for completion of projects and duties and attendance in meetings all within the specified date and time
