Primary Functions
- Develop unique new products, which meet the requirements of marketing
- Work closely with operations to determine meat blocks, processes, and ingredients, which meet new product requirements
- Determine process and procedures, which meet food safety requirements
- Evaluate and establish injection, tumbling, blending, and other pertinent processing procedures to produce the new, desired product
Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively: correspond professionally in writing and orally with representatives of many other areas of the company
- Timely follow through: execute and design experimental procedures expected to yield information within designated timelines.
- Drives change: formulate and select ingredients to obtain a new or specific flavor and texture profile
- Increase skill sets: acquire knowledge of new culinary and food concepts, trends, and solutions.
- Inspire employees: develops added technical competence through association with senior staff members, continual study of current publications, and work experience
- Time management: responsible for preparation of reports, recording in detail project status, progress, and methods of attack used for all of their, numerous, projects.
