Envision having marketing responsibilities for the division including new product development and introduction, developing and executing brand planning to assure that volume and profit objectives are met, manage the advertising agency and advertising budget, provide tools and support to the sales force to help drive growth in the turkey category, and position Jennie-O Turkey Store as the industry leader.
Primary Functions
- Develop and implement all division’s marketing activities
- Develop and execute the marketing plans for sales growth, share of market, category growth, new products and profitability as well as the marketing strategy and tactics to achieve these goals
- Manage, train, motivate, and provide direction to an associate product manager
- Manage and provide direction to the advertising agency to develop creative strategies
Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively: keep all parties informed of issues and conditions in the area that will require more detailed attention
- Timely Follow Through: manage ‘day to day’ product concerns to provide solutions and bring closure to issues in a timely manner
- Drives Change: position Jennie-O Turkey Store as the innovator and the perceived leader of turkey in foodservice
- Increase skill sets: support the sales force and brokers by providing tools, motivation, and training that maximize their opportunities for increased sales volume and margin
- Inspire Employees: provide leadership in the new product development process by continually prioritizing projects, assessing customer needs, providing direction to all departments within the company in a timely manner
- Time management: organize and utilize time effectively to allow for completion of projects and duties and attendance in meetings all within the specified date and time
Training
Your initial training will include Continual Improvement Process training which will provide a common language and understanding of our commitment to meeting agreed-upon customer expectations 100% of the time. You will also receive New Hire Orientation which will provide an introduction to:

- Communication best practices

- Performance reviews
