Primary Functions
- Maintain a steady flow of product, supplies on a daily basis, proper usage of Radio Frequency (RF) scanning system, proper code dates, and an accurate and current inventory for sales and traffic department
- Fill orders to customer demands and notify traffic and sales of shortages and overages
- Work closely with USDA and grader services with exports and government loads
- Work with other supervisors when scheduling work and maintenance
Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively: keep all parties informed of issues and conditions in the area that will require more detailed attention
- Timely follow through: schedule trucks for loading and unloading in a manner that is consistent with customer needs
- Drives change: develop and implement process improvements and customer solutions
- Increase skill sets: know and enforce company rules and policies
- Inspire employees: ensure incoming loads are properly received as well as meeting scheduling needs and safety and quality initiatives in a timely and efficient manner
- Time management: organize and utilize time effectively to allow for completion of projects and duties and attendance in meetings all within the specified date and time.
