Ingredients

1/2 pound JENNIE-O TURKEY STORE® DELI FAVORITES® Hickory Smoked Turkey Breast, from the service deli, thinly sliced

1/4 pound Swiss cheese, thinly sliced

4 slices pumpernickel rye bread

2 tablespoons butter, softened, divided

6 ounces sauerkraut, drained

red onion, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons Thousand Island dressing

Directions

Layer turkey and cheese on 2 bread slices. Heat a heavy skillet or griddle over medium-low heat, and melt 1 tablespoon butter in it. Place the bread topped with the turkey and cheese into the skillet, and heat until the cheese begins to melt.

Next to the sandwiches, heat the sauerkraut, and when warmed, arrange on top of the cheese. Top with red onion, and spread dressing on the remaining slices of bread. Spread top piece of bread with butter, and flip sandwich over to griddle the other side of the sandwich. Cook 1 to 2 minutes on that side, and remove sandwich from skillet. Slice sandwich in half.
