How to Rub a Turkey
an easy way to add flavor
Turkey Rub Recipe
- 1/3 cup fresh rosemary leaves
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage leaves
- 1/3 cup thinly sliced garlic cloves
- Peel of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1 (10 to12-pound) JENNIE-O TURKEY STORE® whole turkey, thawed, giblets and neck removed
Place all ingredients except turkey in the work bowl of a food processor. Process all ingredients until peel and garlic are finely chopped and all ingredients are blended well. Refrigerate until ready to use. Rub under turkey skin before cooking. See How to Cook a Turkey for directions.
