
Make-Ahead Mushroom Gravy
When making holiday side dishes, time-savers are life-savers. This delicious gravy recipe doesn’t rely on turkey drippings, so you can make it up to a day ahead of time! Under 300 calories per serving.



Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter, divided
- 8 ounces assorted mushrooms, coarsely chopped
- 4 shallots, sliced
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 2 teaspoons HERB-OX® chicken bouillon granules
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
- ¼ cup heavy whipping cream
Directions

Melt four tablespoons of butter in a medium skillet. Sauté mushrooms over medium-high heat for five to seven minutes or until browned. Stir in shallots and cook for two minutes. Add remaining two tablespoons of butter. Stir in flour. Whisk in two cups of water and bouillon granules and bring to boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for five minutes or until thickened. Stir in rosemary, thyme and cream. Cook for one minute.
