
Yummy Turkey Spaghetti
Try this recipe with any OVEN READY™ product



Ingredients
- 6 ounces whole wheat spaghetti
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 cup diced onion
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons sambal oelek (chili paste)
- ½ cup dry white wine or sherry
- 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- ½ teaspoon brown sugar
- 3 cups cubed JENNIE-O® OVEN READY™ leftover Turkey
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- finely grated Parmesan cheese, if desired
Directions
- Cook pasta as specified on the package; drain. Return to same saucepan.
- While pasta is cooking, in large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook 5 minutes or until softened, stirring occasionally.
- Add sambal and wine. Simmer until wine is reduced by half. Reduce heat to medium.
- Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste and sugar. Simmer 5 minutes or until thickened slightly, stirring occasionally.
- Add turkey and basil. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes or until hot. Add to spaghetti. Toss to combine. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
