Turkey Meatball Sub

Savory turkey meatballs, chunky marinara sauce and parmesan cheese make this hearty meatball sandwich absolutely irresistible. Filling and kid-friendly, it’ll soon become a favorite weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-ounce) package JENNIE-O® Lean Ground Turkey
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup egg substitute or 1 egg
  • 1 cup fine dry Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon oregano leaves
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 (24-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 5 medium submarine rolls, split
  • ½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F.
  2. In large bowl, combine turkey, Italian seasoning, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, oregano and garlic. Mix well. Form into 20 1-ounce meatballs.
  3. Mist baking sheet with cooking spray. Evenly place meatballs on baking sheet. Bake until well-done, 165°F as measured by a meat thermometer.
  4. In small kettle, heat spaghetti sauce. Remove meatballs from oven. Add warmed spaghetti sauce to each roll and add meatballs. Top with cheese and roll top.
