Forming turkey burgers with applesauce instead of breadcrumbs makes for super moist patties. Topping them with avocado and cheese makes for a super delicious Avocado Turkey Burger dinner. Ready in under 30 minutes!
cup unsweetened applesauce
(16-ounce) package JENNIE-O® Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast
teaspoons no-salt seasoning
small whole wheat buns
slices light Cheddar cheese
avocado, peeled and diced
Drain applesauce in a strainer to eliminate excess liquid. Mix ground turkey, applesauce and no-salt seasoning.
Form mixture into 5 patties.
Spray a skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Preheat skillet over medium-high heat.
Add ground turkey to hot skillet. Stir to crumble, approximately 14 to 16 minutes. Always cook to well-done, 165°F. as measured by a meat thermometer.
Place burgers on bun bottoms. Top with cheese and avocado. Cover with bun top.
