Makes 12 Servings
(16-ounce) packages JENNIE-O® Lean Ground Turkey
cup minced red onion
cup minced green onion
serrano chili, minced
egg whites, whisked
teaspoons chili powder
teaspoon ground cumin
tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
soft slider buns, split and toasted
cup finely shredded cheddar cheese
cup thinly sliced red onions
avocado, peeled, pitted, and thinly sliced
Suggested condiments: mayonnaise, mustard and ketchup
Preheat grill to medium-high.
In a large bowl, combine turkey, red onion, green onion, chilies, egg whites, chili powder, salt, pepper, oregano, cumin, and Worcestershire. Mix thoroughly. Divide the mixture into 12 equal portions. Using your hands, shape them into 12 small burgers, each about 3 and 4 inches wide and 1/2-inch thick.
Place the burgers on grill. Cook 6 minutes per side, and until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 165°F as measured by a meat thermometer. Always cook to well-done.
Serve the burgers on slider buns, topped cheese, lettuce, tomato, sliced red onion, and avocado. Serve with suggested condiments.
